Deborah Mirabal Polites

Deborah Mirabal Polites is the Chief Operating Officer of Global Research & Investment Strategy at The Carlyle Group, where she also focuses on asset allocation and portfolio implementation for separately managed accounts. She is based in New York.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Deborah was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, serving as Chief of Staff to the Global Investment Research Division. In this role, she co-authored several publications focused on portfolio analysis and corporate advisory topics. Previously, she drove content development for the alternative investments businesses within the firm's Investment Management Division and was a founding member of the division’s Editorial Board.

Deborah began her career in Goldman Sachs' Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group, working in both New York and Hong Kong on customized private equity solutions for institutional and high-net-worth investors across the U.S. and Asia, and supporting product management of private equity primary, co-investment, and secondary funds.

Deborah holds a BA in International & Global Studies with a concentration in Global Economics from Brandeis University.
